SEMI-ARID WATER RESOURCES MANAGEMENT SEMINAR
PROSPERING IN THE DESERT
About
Confront the main water issues and understand how Israel overcame its national water shortage and averted an existential crisis.
Through field trips and short lectures, we will review all the components that are needed to achieve advanced, environmentally friendly and efficient water and agriculture systems.
An arid climate and very limited natural water resources, coupled with the ambition to sustain an advanced society at the edge of the desert, have spurred Israel’s development of efficient and advanced water management. Innovative, cutting edge technologies also continue to play a pivotal role in Israel’s water sustainability.
Israel’s water sector today is widely recognized as a source of excellence and innovation leadership worldwide and in fact solved the water problems in Israel.
