- Domestic systems demonstration – introduction of different growing methods.
- Vertical farming and urban agriculture
- Water chemistry – adjustments, microbial additions.
- Controlled environment – climate controls, green houses.
Return to your hotel for dinner & overnight
After breakfast, tour in the urban hydroponic farm “Green in the city” in Tel Aviv and the Agritourism Center, escorted by Moti Cohen – Livingreen CEO
Today’s focus and studied material:
- Growing support systems – nursery, cooling house, packing area, automatic controllers
- Plants – plants physiology, nutrition, deficiencies.
- Marketing and branding – marketing methods, farm marketing.
Drive to Galilee area for dinner & overnight.
Day 4: Full day studying and concluding
Meet with the team of Livingreen. Full study day in “Green in the village” farm, escorted by Moti Cohen – Livingreen CEO/ Tiran Alalli – Farm manager.
Today’s focus and studied material:
- Pest control-organic vs. chemical, biological pest control.
- Crop management – harvesting planting and storage.
- System management – system upkeep, farm schedules.
- Discussion & questions Conclusion
Dinner & overnight in Jerusalem
Day 5: Full day touring in Jerusalem & Dead Sea
Today is a full day touring in Jerusalem.
Begin your day at the Mount of Olives, and see the panorama of the City from there. visit the Garden of Gethsemane.
Next enter the walls of the Old City and visit the four quarters of the city; Christian, Jewish, Muslim & Armenian Quarters. Walk through the colorful bazaars. Walk the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Visit the Jewish Quarter where the remains of the holy temple and the Wailing Wall are located.
Drive to the Dead Sea – the lowest point on earth, and enjoy a floating experience on the amazing water with the healing powers.
Return to your hotel for dinner & overnight
After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight home.
